Grandma’s Baked Spaghetti Recipe

baked spaghetti recipe

To be exact this is a recipe from my husband’s grandma, so we call it “Grandma Redd’s Spaghetti” and it’s a delicious recipe for baked spaghetti.  You’ll see below a note card of the recipe that my mother in law wrote for me and it’s nice and stained up because it’s a favorite and I’m excited to share it with you! You should see the worn out index card that my mother in law wrote me years back, nice and stained – that’s when you  know it’s a good recipe. Am I right?

It’s a treasure to have hand me down recipes. Do you have any?

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a large stockpot brown your choice of meat with the onions & garlic until cooked.
  2. Add in the tomato juice, paste, salt and red pepper (and mushrooms if using). Bring to a boil and then cover and simmer for 2 hours. (or longer)
  3. Boil 1 pound of noodles of your choice
  4. Remove lid to the sauce and add in the can of mushroom soup and cheese.
  5. In a large enough dutch oven place your sauce & noodles and stir to combine. Cover.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. And serve!
