All About the Kiddos

Ok I say this is for the kiddos, but if I”m honest these meals are for me….a big kid apparently. I happen to love these simple dishes, they remind me of my childhood. So really they are for everyone, but of course with a twist. They are not from a box (like those little blue boxes of kid cuisine I use to love) or a can (hello spaghettio’s)! They are from scratch made with whole ingredients.

If you’ve read my previous posts this month I think your seeing a theme of well staying at home and cooking.  To fall back in love with our food and our kitchens. I don’t think there’s much of an option not to. It’s just to important to not throw all your knowledge of what good food is out of the window and bury your head in the sand. Yep, I’m getting pretty opinionated here but someone’s got to say it. It’s time we slow down, enjoy our food and make it a priority.

Remember my  huge tip about setting everything out at the table and letting everyone self serve! Trust me it works! My friend tried it last  night and voila, all 3 of them including a 3 year old did a lot by himself. A success to us!

Below you will find some recipes all from homemade ingredients that we grow right on our homestead.
