Happy Holiday Friends!
Holidays especially Thanksgiving might be a favorite for me, because it gives pause to be thankful for the abundance of Food. Good food to be specific. All the prep time, flour dusting every counter, the smells, the family and friends getting together over the Good Food. It’s a little glimpse for most other people to see what I feel my kitchen and dining table is like most of the year. What a blessing to come together over the Harvest, to give thanks, to say a blessing to our Lord who has given us so much. It feels good, real good. Sometimes to good and your stomach will be regretting all those spoonful’s you put into your mouth. You feel me? But then there’s Christmas and I’m really grateful that God sent his only Son to be here with us on earth and then wait there’s Easter when he dies for our sins and rises again. Ok so I have several favorites!
I pray you’ll stop and give pause to be thankful for the Good Food in front of you, for that time spent in the kitchen (or being extra thankful to those who spent all that time in the kitchen) creating something wonderful!! I also encourage you to do that more often- a Kitchen Revival- where Good Food is made a priority. Where you’re thankful for that food and how amazing it made you feel while being in the kitchen creating such wonderful, wholesome, nutritious food.
Albeit some may have some extra sugar in it this time of year, but it’s still a creation of yours.
With all the Food talk here are some excellent recipe ideas to add into your Holiday Gatherings!
