Soup Season – Comforting and Cozy Soup Recipes

Today’s all about simple Soups, NOT from a can. Please NOT from a can.  Most soups are loaded with fillers, including MSG and we’ve recently discovered how awful MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamate) is. If you need a reminder or you’re reaching for that can with the red label, READ HERE NOW.

I’m sharing with you several of my homemade soups that we all just love. The great thing with soup is that you can sneak SOOOOO much nutrition  into those bowls of goodness. Shhhhh don’t tell the kids. You also can sneak in Homemade Bone Broth- the best ingredient! The easiest way I find to help those picky eaters is to use an immersion blender to blend up the soups until they are creamy (Plus crackers don’t hurt either). The trick with the immersion blender is to go longer than you think. At first it may seem grainy but if you keep going it’ll get super creamy.

Basic Soup Recipe:

All the veggies you have + bone broth + spices Cook on low 5 to 6 hours Use Immersion Blender, and cheese and/or milk.

Sourdough Cracker Recipe:

Sourdough discard 2 cups Melted butter 2 tbsps Garlic salt 2 tsps Redmonds Real Salt Mix together the top 3 ingredients, spread evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. sprinkle salt Bake at 325 F for 30 to 45 minutes. Depending on how thick you made your crackers. I suggest thinner the better. Watch carefully. Score with a pizza cutter after 15 minutes if you choose.
