I feel a change in the air,
something’s happening right now.

There’s resurgence into the Good Ole Days of long ago. Pioneering is in our blood, our hearts and our sweat.  I feel people wanting to get back to that, to what really matters.

Sure two homes, a boat, vacations a plenty are fun and often an escape of the mundane. BUT… it’s not all what it’s cracked up to be.  I think people are seeing what really matters and what really feels good and fills the soul.

Sure that week long beach vacay was nice, but all that prep work beforehand!! Plus the travel time that probably wasn’t that fun either. Oh and returning, the laundry, did something break while you were gone? Animals gone bonkers because you were gone?  The list goes on and on….. Before long…usually pretty quick the euphoric feeling fades quickly doesn’t it?

It’s strange to feel it let alone say what I’m about to say but I use to thrive on the hustle and bustle and oh those vacations, I lived for. Seriously, lived for.  That beach time and sunshine filled my soul.  But here’s the honesty part which may seem odd for some but I’D RATHER STAY HOME.  Yes I said it, stay home. I’ll take that quiet garden time any day. I get to see, hear, and feel God’s work in how things grow.

I’m amazed and in awe and actually a loss for words when I’m in the garden.  You start with a tiny seed, which grows into a massive producing plant, which then goes to flower,  an then to seed. And then dang you get to plant and grow all over again reaping the rewards (fueling your body) of God’s amazing design.

You just cannot get any better than that. You just can’t.

Please go now and partake in it!! You won’t regret it. It lasts way longer than any vacation.  Go grab any Heirloom seed and start planting.  Easy stuff like beans, lettuce, kale or herbs are great to start with.

You Can’t Buy Happiness- But You Can Buy Dirt

Are you seeing people or hearing how they are craving that old pioneering knowledge? I certainly am and glad of it to. Let’s take back a little of that control away from the only caring of the bottom line companies with every Tomato you plant, Carrot pulled, or Parsley snipped.  IT ALL MATTERS.  Plus it’s nutritional and beneficial in so many ways.
