Creating a Clean Slate In the Kitchen & My Favorite Kitchen Items

Creating a Clean Slate & My Favorite Kitchen Items

The first video discusses the important of a “clean slate” especially in your kitchen. I find that it’s really important to be organized and have the space to create, to cook, to bake, etc.  If you are constantly pushing stuff aside to make a smidge of room just to get dinner done, what fun is that? When you wake up to a clean kitchen it gives you a sense of freedom, a breath to take, and then you’ll be able to accomplish the tasks ahead.

All those kitchen items and gadgets do you really need them? If you’re not using them often and your kitchen is cluttered it may be time to move them to another location. I’m not saying to go Marie Kondo or anything- our economy is too fragile to just throw stuff away. I’m suggesting putting stuff away in storage for now.

The second video is a walkthrough of my Favorite Kitchen Items and how I use them. Some items are just so darn handy and help gain momentum and ease in the kitchen, so watch what one’s do that for me.

If we all take small steps to change our habits in the kitchen “they” won’t have as much control over our food.  That’s why Freedom in Food is so important, and I hope you agree.

Second Video – A Few of my Favorite Things

Key Takeaways:

  1. Having a clean slate helps start the entire day to be ready to create those meals from scratch
  2. Have all your important useful items within several steps so they are easy to grab
  3. Clean those counters (all my homemade cleaners are coming your way tomorrow in a free ebook!)
  4. Place the items you rarely or never use in another section of the house, storage, etc
  5. Organization is KEY
  6. Group like items together and label everything. Here’s my favorite Chalkboard Sticker Paper on amazon (Grab chalkboard markers to!)
