Learning to Make your Own Yogurt, Butter, & Cheese

Making Your Own – Yogurt – Cheese – Butter

Today we are going to learn to make our own Yogurt, Cheese & Butter. Why you ask?  For several reasons, when you’re making these items at home your controlling the ingredients, you’re not adding in preservatives, additives, fillers and sugar. None of those things are useful in our bodies (See How to become a Food Prood to read more)

It’s all about health right? Creating that Legacy in Food, passing down the good values of good nutrient dense food.

Ask yourself this? Why does shredded cheese have to have an anti caking agent? Is that even good to eat? Sure maybe it passes inspection and is on some government safe list. But is it necessary? Is it bogging my body down and unable to absorb nutrients that the food may  have? In my opinion yes!! Let’s not waste our bodies time on ridiculous ingredients.  If your unable to make your own cheese because let’s face it that’s definitely a “Take it up a notch” kind of thing”, purchase blocks of cheese and shred yourself. I love this Kitchen Aid Food Processor.

For the Yogurt– I love making Greek Yogurt then I’m able to use this for my sour cream instead of purchasing that, plus making your own yogurt has probiotics and no sugar!  You can jazz it up by adding fruit if you wish to make that parfait. I also add it to the kids smoothies along with many other sneaky ingredients. Shhh don’t tell them.  (video below) I have a video & step by step instructions HERE on  how to  make greek yogurt

For other cheeses I call them Gateway cheese! They are so simple to make you’ll  just be tickled pink when you try them. Queso Fresco & Ricotta Cheese. Both just use milk + vinegar (or lemon juice) + salt and voila!! (Recipes below)  and Butter Video is below!
