Honey Oat Bread – Pasta Carbonara – Marbling Fats

I’d like to talk to you about the importance of good meat! What is good meat? Does it look a certian way, taste a certain way, raised a certain way? In my opionion good meat has been raised humanely, fed the best it can like organic feed and free range. And doing what animals are meant to do, live out in the weather, go rootin or foraging and just do animal things. It all makes it taste better and it’ll be full of nutrition it’s outta this world! Have you heard of the term “Marbling” before? Marbling as in this photo here is where the meat is “marbled” with fat. But wait, hold up don’t get all panicky about the word “fat”. This is GOOD fat, this pork was fed the best organic fed and lived a great life rootin around! The fat adds to flavor, tenderness and moistness. This particular cut is called a Butt Roast, but it comes from the shoulder. Yea I know…..not sure why they call everything backwards. Because the ham is actually the bum. So there ya have it, go and find some organic free range pork and compare it to this bad boy. I happen to use these cuts in my Carnita’s. Delicious delicious carnitas. Which I then top onto my Tostadas. Best ever!

Here are some Gluten Free options that you’ll want to make asap! Now do you have to be gluten free to enjoy these? Nope, we are not. I just happen to like the challenge of cooking gluten free. I also feel like having to much gluten (just like anything else) is not the best idea.

This Honey and Oat Bread is delicious! My kids love to spread honey on it and eat it as a snack, breakfast, or whenever they want. I oblige them because it’s my honey from my hives and I don’t find this bread to offensive with any bad ingredients. So snack on kids, snack on.

Here is another recipe using the Ramen Noodles from Costco , I just love these noodles. Their thin, cooks super quick and delicious. Pair my favorite noodles with some creamy sauce that only takes 15 minutes! Yep, call me ready. If you precook the bacon it makes it even speedier. This Pasta Carbonara recipe is a must try.
