Homemade Dishwasher Detergent

Using Only 3 Ingredients!

Borax- Washing Soda- Citric Acid

Learn how to make your own Dishwasher Detergent that is cost effective and works great. It’s only three safe ingredients for a natural dishwasher clean.

Boom, there ya have it! That’s all ya’ll. Buy those 3 ingredients from any big box store, mix together, store in a class jar (mason jar). It’s cheap, oh yes I used the word cheap because dang ya’ll it is! You’ll be able to mix up a lot at one time and you end up only use 2 tablespoons per load, yep that’s it!

Plus the borax & washing soda is the same 2 ingredients (plus one more) to make your own Laundry Soap!! Stop buying expensive detergents that have questionable ingredients – take a few minutes to whip this up, stir and use for months!!

For the Rinse Aid I will either use vinegar half the time and the other have I”ll use 7th generation rinse aid.  My dishwasher annoyingly adds time if it that compartment is empty. (I’m not sure why because that’s definitely not high efficiency)

Printable Recipe HERE

Ingredients:

1.5 Cups 20 Mule Team Borax
1.5 Cups Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
½ Cup Citric Acid

Directions:

Measure out the 3 ingredients, stir to mix up and voila, done!

I suggest filling up your dishwasher well only half full- mine takes a bit less than 2 tablespoons per load.
