Healthy Chicken Nuggets +  Homemade French Fries + Homemade Refried Beans

How is your May going? Any plans for gardening this year?  The weather has been nice but not oh crap it’s 90 and everything must be planted right now kinda weather.  So we’ve been taking it slow, like preparing the gardens, weeding in the herb garden and hoop house and throwing in some random herb and lettuce seeds.

Lot’s of work in my grow room where there’s about 700 seedlings doing their thing. It’s a mighty thing and it’s exciting to watch how a tiny seed can sprout and grow mighty!

Soon we’ll be planting our potatoes that I keep saving from year after year.(Great way to cut cost). So with those potatoes comes my recipe for Homemade French Fries !  Really easy, in the oven and healthy Fries.

What shall we pair those fries with? How about Homemade Chicken Nuggets you say, Allright!! I’ve got that recipe on there as well. They are darn tootin’ delicious, even for grownups.

Now to spill the beans…. Refried Beans that is. Here is a homemade, easy in the crock pot, make a ton, save money kinda beans. I love making these because they are cost effective and I mix them with my taco meat to help make that 1lb of meat stretch! Well, I no longer cook 1lb at a time, it’s usually 3lbs.  We’re big pigging over here!

I recently created a video on some of the morning chores in the house if you want to check that out. Click here.

So enjoy and get out and play in the dirt!!
