Homemade Flour Tortilla Recipe
Learn how to make homemade flour tortillas right at home with minimal ingredients. They are soft & pliable and can be made within an hour for an amazing taco night. Just flour + b powder + water + salt + lard or olive oil = amazing homemade tortillas!
You’ll need to mix together the ingredients and shape them into about 10 balls and cover them with a towel and let them set for about 30 minutes to allow the gluten to relax and chill out. This way you’ll be able to press & roll them out very easily if you give that time before rolling out.
I used a cast iron skillet on medium and a large fork to flip them. I used regular all purpose flour for the recipe, you could substitute wheat by adding in a smidge more water until you get a wonderful playdoh consistency.
Where to grab your flour from? I love Azure Standard – great prices with options for Organic & Bulk!
