All About the Chickens

Black Jersey Giant & Pheasant

We are talking chicken today!!! I have uploaded several resources to help you along with your Food Prood journey. And one being- how to cook a whole chicken (preferably organic, we are prood’s right?) When we started raising and processing our own chickens we left them whole, so I had to rethink a lot of my dinner plans. I was use to purchasing chicken breasts or wings from the store. It’s a whole new world when you have a whole chicken… I’m not sure why there’s still the breasts and wings but it’s in a whole form. There’s so much more to a whole chicken and nothing goes to waste! When I make my whole chickens it’s incredibly easy, see for yourself HERE.  So I cooked it, now what? Well you have all the left over bones and skin guess what we’re gonna make? BONE BROTH!!! Yes click HERE to see how super easy it is.  I’ve also got lots of shredded chicken both white and dark.

One of my favorite recipes is Quesadillas’, which we just had tonight. They are super simple. Check out my video HERE.   Click on the “how to cook your whole chicken” and see my favorite chicken recipes at the bottom.

We’re talking Taquitos, Pasta, and Chicken Pot Pie!!

Speaking of Chicken- how about raising some of your own meat birds? Check out my videos on how we get started with our baby chicks.

Some of the links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you, if you click through and make a purchase. I only share links of products I either use or would be comparable to what I am currently using.
