Welcome to the root’s revival with Food Prood; where we are going back to our roots and learning old fashioned ways in a modern world.

Hi Reader

Did you know it’s not too late to plant beans?!? Most beans can still be planted and you can get a great harvest. Typically, beans take 60 or less days to grow! So if your frost date that happens in fall is less than 60 days – Plant those babies now!!

It’s a great way to introduce and encourage kids to be outside and growing. Bonus: You can also talk to your kids about Jesus and how when a seed is planted and given the right conditions it’ll flourish into something beautiful that feeds us!

Also, on deck for today is How to Pressure Can Beans OR blanche & freeze them which is a much easier option.

Easy grilled vegetable recipe, SOOOO yummy!

About

Welcome to my Blog- I’ll share with you what our Homestead looks like and how we raise 80% of our food, all organically, sustainably, naturally and beautifully.

I’m hoping to inspire you that you can do this as well! God has provided our family with all the things, but the big thing He has given us is the drive to get ‘er done! We didn’t start out with all this, we started very slow, replacing one thing at a time, learning one thing at a time.
