No Fuss- Just Place In The Oven!

This recipe is amazing! If your able to use bone broth you’ve got extra nutrition in any meal you decide to use the rice in. Try out my Casserole with Rice!  All you need to do is pour the rice with the broth and bake! See the directions below. This is such a great way to bake real rice (this is not for instant rice, this is for real rice) and not stand over the oven to make sure its’ getting tender. Every time I’ve done this with Basmati, Brown or even White Rice (As long as it’s not instant) you’ll get a nice tender fluffy rice after about 1 hour in the oven.

Ingredients:

1 Cup Rice

2 Cups Broth (preferred bone broth)

Directions:

1. Bring broth and rice to a boil (alternatively you can just place the rice & broth directly into the oven safe dish with a lid and bake)

2. Once at a boil pour into an oven safe dish with a lid (or use tin foil)

3. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour – leave in the oven until ready to use.

Laura’s Tips: This easy & simple rice recipe is loaded with nutrition because of the broth. I use my own chicken bone broth. This recipe easily doubles/triples. You can use any oven safe dish and most times people recommend using tin foil, however I prefer not to use that unless necessary. So if you have a dish with a lid this is a perfect replacement and it’s better all the way around. Use this rice in casseroles, mexican dishes or as a side dish by adding in cheese and salt and pepper.

Need to buy rice? I purchase mine at Costco or Azure Standard – it is Organic Brown Rice!
