Beauty After Destruction | Foraging Post-Ice Storm | What I found in the Woods
Here in Northern Michigan, after a devastating ice storm, beauty is already springing forth from the forest floor. Nature is resilient—and so are these woods.
Come along as we take a peaceful walk through the forest, see how the land is healing, and do a little spring foraging together.
Oh—and yes, I did plant pawpaw trees in the woods (go figure, right?!?)
Let’s see what the forest has to offer… 🌱🍄
First up to forage are Spring Beauties!! When the sun is out so are these cuties.
Then onto ramps – we love finding these because well they taste delicious and can be switched out with either garlic or onions.
Don’t worry we have acres and acres of these wonderful things so partaking in a few is all good.
