Well…

The preserving season I warned you about?

It arrived. 😅

My famous purple podded pole beans are starting to come in, gardens are producing, and before long we’ll be doing what feels like endless preserving.

And honestly…

This is one of my favorite times of year.

The messy counters.

The steam.

The jars lined up.

The satisfaction of seeing shelves slowly fill.

Soon I’ll be doing large batches of tomato sauce cooked outdoors over the fire (because keeping that heat outside in August matters!).
