People are always asking….what do I actually buy from the stores?

Good Question my friends!

Part One

In the beginning…. just kidding. But I gotta start somewhere, so here we are. I get the question often “what do you buy from store since you raise & grow most of your own food” I estimate it’s about 80% if not more. We are lucky hard working people!

So I thought I would answer that whenever I can and update it monthly perhaps or when I can. I typically purchase 1x a month from Azure Standard – I coordinate a drop but I would purchase from them anyways. You can learn all about Azure Standard in a post I’ve done. They are really easy to order from once you understand how it works. Create an account, choose a drop, place items in card, place the order, show up at the drop (your coordinator & azure will let you know exactly what time & date it is once Azure coordinates the truck routes)

My order usually has bulk items in it, however you do not have to purchase items in bulk. Usually all items have several size options to choose from. I like bulk because it saves money honey! Since I am a Prood organic is the only way I’ll go.

They have an insane amount of items to choose from – grocery – health – gardening – books and the list goes on and on!

A lot of the items are actually new to me, you’ll find my favorites I like to buy often at the bottom of the post.

Tortilla Chips
Uncooked Tortilla Wraps

We will stop at Aldi once in awhile to grab butter, cheese slices if I’m feeling frisky, ketchup & mustard.

How to Order:

2. Join a pickup site near you.

3. Shop & Place your order.

4. Pickup order after Azure sends out an email after the route has been determined. The drops happen 1x a month and you’ll be notified the exact time & date once they figure out their routes. In your account in your drop details you’ll see the “pick up week” then it’ll get scheduled after the order cut off date.

Your first order you’ll wonder how exactly to do it but your drop coordinator should reach out with more details- they also provide their email so feel free to ask them questions as well. Once you do it you’ll be so glad you did!!
