Quiet months don’t mean idle months—and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
We made it through January, and I’ve finally realized that I just need to take the month for what it is for me.
January means staying home. It usually means a cold or two. And most years, it means not being able to drive anywhere for long stretches of time. I actually don’t mind being home—I truly love it—but when I’m finally ready to go somewhere and the weather refuses to cooperate… whew. That can make a girl mad. You’d think after eight years in northern Michigan I would’ve figured this out sooner. Oh well—next year! 😉
That said, this month is shaping up to be such a good one.
I’ll be volunteering for Night to Shine, an event that happens all over the world and is very close to my heart. I’ll also be speaking on a podcast with Small House Farms (stay tuned for that episode!), and I’ll be presenting in person at the Northern Michigan Homestead Expo, where I’ll be teaching on canning and preserving.
On top of that, I’ll be releasing this year’s in-person classes and workshops—and oh boy, I have something HUGE planned for this year.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been giving my website a much-needed upgrade (go check it out and tell me what you think!), and I’ll be recording a brand-new training called Heritage Legacy Training, which will be coming out soon.
Even in the quiet, snowy months, there’s so much good happening. ❤️
