About

Welcome to my Blog- I’ll share with you what our Homestead looks like and how we raise 80% of our food, all organically, sustainably, naturally and beautifully.

I’m hoping to inspire you that you can do this as well! God has provided our family with all the things, but the big thing He has given us is the drive to get ‘er done! We didn’t start out with all this, we started very slow, replacing one thing at a time, learning one thing at a time.

Old Fashioned Ways in a Modern World

a homesteading newsletter by Laura Lawrence

Welcome November & Friends!
Well here on the homestead we have come to a halt… I had to have a tooth pulled (eek gasp). We started by planting 170 garlic cloves with plans of planting around 500. However that tooth, or should I say lack of a tooth has caused a pause in the plan. Hopefully soon we’ll be able to resume and get back planting (I was taking it easy as I need to really work up the ground like REALLY work it up and I didn’t want to take a chance of messing things up)

But I can type on the computer! So I’ve been busy redoing all recipes on my website updating images, links, wording, etc. And I came up with this idea- a weekly email that will include a menu planning option. This week will include 7 Dinner Ideas – each image & word will have a clickable link directly to a recipe on my site. Sometimes it may be treats, sweets, breakfast, lunch or dinner ideas! Or Just bread, lots of bread 🙂

I’m hoping you find this helpful to spark some dinner fun and remembering all the lovely recipes I have on my site.

Enjoy and if you have any suggestions I’d love to hear from you, simply hit reply and let me know.
