Let’s Get Ready for a Revival!

Day #6

Learn to Grow Anywhere

So I’m really into people growing their own food, like really pushy into it. But it’s amazing, so healthy and just freakin’ awesome. I’ll admit I get lost in my huge gardens and forget not everyone has the actual space to turn their property into a garden OR even have property or space at all. So today my friends I want to still encourage you no matter where you are to grow something, anything at all.

Let’s discuss some ways and head back to the Facebook post and encourage each other to do the same! Share ideas if you’ve grown in apartments or small spaces.

Let’s help each other have Freedom in Food!!

Taste the difference with homegrown food

Fight the corrupt food system by growing anything at all

We’ll be talking about Vertical Gardening Coming up real soon!

Let’s Start Shall We!

Do you like Pico de Gallo or Salsa?

I’m a huge pusher for Organic food, homegrown organic food is the absolute best and it’s possible. It really is.  However I know it seems so overwhelming, like where do you even start?  Let’s start today by planting 2 Tomato Plants, 1 Pepper Plant, and some herbs like Cilantro, and a few onions.  Guess what you just planted? A salsa garden.  You can easily grow all those items in containers.  Here’s the list you need to get on hand. Either by purchasing or re purposing 5 gallon buckets or old containers with drainage holes. (GROW on your Balcony if you need to!)

Soil (I love dairy doo)
2 Large Pots (5 gallon buckets work good)
2 Tomato Plants (Grab Heirloom variety)
3 Smaller Pots
1 Pepper Plant
1 Package of Seeds (Cilantro)
1 Pack of Onion Sets (sold almost anywhere right now)

1. Purchase items
2. Plant the tomato plants in the large pots
3. Pepper plant in the smaller pot, cilantro in the other smaller pot and onion sets in the other pot (onion spacing 4 inches apart)
4. All these could be directly planted in the ground as well if you have the space. It will not take much. You do not need to “till” it with anything big, just dig and remove the top with the grass. (or keep on your balcony in pots)
5. Water weekly and watch it grow and appreciate how God has given us everything we need and take back control of your food, your fuel, your brain and your body!

Review Day #3 to help with seed choices, resources & more

How about adding in a few raised beds and using Day #5 on planning out your favorites to grow let’s have a Kitchen Garden as people like to call them. This is where you plant smaller quantities to use right in the kitchen (not necessarily any preserving).

Fresh STUFF PEOPLE!!! FRESH!!

Lettuce is super easy and doesn’t need deep soil at all, can we try that?

If you have the land can we work up some more ground to plant more? You could preserve this because its’ still way better than the store, or give it away to help other people have Freedom in Food to. How lovely is that?

I certainly don’t have all the answers but I’m hoping this little post will nudge you in the direction of growing something. Honestly you’ll be so happy with seeing something, anything growing, it’s really inspiring and I hope you try it today!
