Cast Iron Chili
Chili is delicious with so many variations! Of course you do not need it to be down in a cast iron pan like this one but you certainly can! You could also make this on a grate over a fire, which is something on my to do list. What about you?
Learn my ingredients to make a favorite chili to warm and fill you up on those brisk days! This also freezes great so you could make a double recipe and save half in the freezer for another time. Just make sure to leave enough headspace on the jars or containers when freezing or it might bust out or the jar.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground pork (or beef)
- 32 oz total canned Kidney beans
- 32 oz total canned tomatoes
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 3 tablespoons chili seasoning powder <– Grab my recipe here!
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- S&P
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Brown the ground pork or fee with the onions & garlic until done
- Pour in the beans, tomatoes and add in the spices & Worcestershire sauce
- Simmer for 2-4 hours on the stove top. OR add to a crockpot
