Carnita's - Gardening Worksheets -Bagels & More

This is an exciting day I have so much to share with you! I've been working really hard getting lots of new stuff up on the website this past week. Several gardening worksheets, my favorite recipe and several amazing Sourdough recipes. Have you started your sourdough yet? If not, visit HERE. You'll want to get on this train, it's worth it. It's like to me guilt free bread!

First let's talk MY FAVORITE Recipe EVER!! Since we raise our own organic fed pasture raised pigs we get seriously the best pork. I'm spoiled, I know it. I admit it. This recipe uses the "butt roast" which is actually the shoulder. See below about the importance of "Marbling". Meat from the store can not compare. I make a huge batch every time, this last batch weighed in after the sauce, beans and such was 15 lbs. It freezes great! We use it on so many things it doesn't get old. Think Nachos! Salads! Tortillas! Tostadas! It has endless possabilities. Go ahead I dare ya to make these. Let me know how they turn out, email me!

Now if you haven't made sourdough recipes can you please get on that? It won't disappoint. Listen to the health benefits and see if it'll get ya going in that direction. Two new recipes for sourdough that I make often - Breadsticks & Bagels!

It's almost time for the Gardenio and I've been working on creating workbooks for my local workshops I hold to teach all about "Freedom in Food" and my current series is all about gardening. I"ll share a smidge of the resources here on the website. Head on over to the "Garden" section and you'll find why you should be saving your eggshells for your garden. It's really easy to! Also take a look at my recomendations on what seeds should be direct sown (put directly into the ground) versus purchasing plants or starting your own plants. Greenhouses offer many many plants which is great, however to help save on your budget it's really just best to buy seeds and plant them directly. I explain a lot when you click on the image.
